Henfield Hub

Henfield Hub

Henfield residents will soon have everything they need to know about the village at the touch of a button. A new website will go live on October 16.

The new website, www.henfieldhub.com, already has a holding page and link to Facebook. At its launch it will be packed with village contacts, event dates and news reports and pictures from around the area.

“This is a major breakthrough for Henfield,” said Henfield Hub manager Dan Wilkinson.

“We plan to ensure that as many people as possible are able to access the site, even those who do not have computers - but can visit the library.

“There will be workshops around the village to give basic instruction in computer use, especially for more senior residents.”

Henfieldhub.com has been built with the help of a grant from West Sussex County Council and is supported by both the Henfield Community Partnership and the Henfield Parish Council.

The Hub will provide a simple way to access all information relating to Henfield for residents, businesses and visitors. It will also foster a greater sense of community in Henfield, showing what a great place the village is to live and work in and to visit.

Information about clubs, societies and businesses will be just a fingertip away. Instantly find opening hours and contact information for organisations and services, as well as ways to get involved in the community.

Henfield Hub’s core features include a comprehensive business directory and a village calendar, with blogs, forums, notices and articles carrying up to-the-minute information about news and developments in the village - and even the local weather forecast.

The aim is also to attract more visitors to the village by helping them to find accommodation, local attractions and activities to do and places to visit in and around Henfield. The new website (henfieldhub.com) has been welcomed by business and community leaders in the village.

The launch is on a Tuesday, but it will be followed by a full community launch a few days later on Saturday October 20 at St Peter’s School in Henfield. Organisers will be showcasing the many features of the site, with many local businesses, clubs and societies being present to show what Henfield has to offer.

The Hub manager, Dan Wilkinson, said: “It has been designed for ease of use and navigation with something for everyone.”
