A Horsham teenager has raised more than £800 for Parkinson’s UK - eight times more than she aimed for.
Dannii Hilder, 14, of Comptons Lane, aimed to raised £100 in memory of her grandad by cycling 50 times around Bennetts Field recreation ground, running up and down the hill there ten times and then cycling to Horsham Park.
Her grandad, Len Baker, died six years ago after living with the condition and the Millais School pupil has managed to raise £809.96.
She said: “I didn’t think I would raise this much. It’s means everything to me. I found that people don’t really know what Parkinson’s is so more people are aware of it and aware of the charity.”
Dannii is still collecting sponsorship so anyone who would like to support her and donate to Parkinson’s UK can go to www.justgiving.com/dannii-hilder
