Horsham burrito stand forced to close early after table collapse

A popular food stand in Horsham town centre was forced to close early today (Thursday February 20) after a table collapsed.

It is common for Mix and Max Burrito - which comes to town every Thursday as part of the Horsham Markets - to have a queue of customers stretching from the Carfax bandstand to shop fronts.

But manager Neil Moran, 40, was forced to close when a table leg buckled and 70 per cent of food was lost at around 10am.

He said: “I’m upset I can’t feed people, but it’s just one of those things.

“I’ll be back next week and look forward to serving then.”

He estimated a loss of around £200.
