Hapless cows in bizarre slurry pit rescue

FOUR heifers had to be rescued after they got trapped in a slurry pit early yesterday morning.

Fire crews from Haywards Heath, Storrington and Crawley were called to farmland off Warninglid Lane, near Warninglid, just after 6am on June 11.
