Friday night coffee shop for young people restarting in Horsham

FOLLOWING the popularity of the Friday Night Project @ Costa in Horsham, the initiative is returning to Horsham town later this month.

The Friday Night Project @ Costa returns on Friday 14 September with the aim to provide a safe, informal meeting place for young people on Friday evenings at the West Street branch of the Costa coffee chain in Horsham.

Young people aged between 14 and 18 are able to visit the café between 7.30pm and 10pm to meet with friends, have a coffee and a chat.

Sue Rogers, Horsham District Council’s cabinet member for a safer and healthier district, said: “It’s great this project is taking place again and we hope younger people will still enjoy the opportunity.

“By offering up Costa as a place to go, young people have a safe and secure place to meet friends on a Friday night.

“I would like to thank the organisations involved, and in particular Costa Coffee on West Street, Horsham for its support.”

The Friday Night Project @ Costa is an initiative backed by Costa, Horsham District Council, the Parish Office of St Mary the Virgin, Horsham, and West Sussex Youth Service.
