Flooding causes problems for drivers in Horsham district

Flooding.

Flooding.

Heavy overnight and early morning rain has caused problems for drivers across the Horsham district.

Two badly affected areas are:

Langhurstwood Road in Horsham which is closed between the A264 junction and the Green Lane junction.

The A24 southbound in Washington between the A283 The Pike junction and the North End junction.

However, drivers are being advised to be aware of potential hazards while driving as there are several more roads where surface water is a potential problem.

These include North Street, Horsham, near the railway bridge and areas through Faygate towards Pease Pottage.

The weather forecast is for the rain to coninue until early afternoon.
