There is not shortage of planning applications for housing developments across the Horsham district countryside areas, but what about town centres.
Work to flats in Brighton Road has recently finished and units above shops in Market Square are currently undergoing refurbishment after years of being empty.
The units above Ryman Stationers, Laura Ashley and Truffles overlook Middle Street and Horsham Old Town Hall, now home to Bill’s restaurant.
Plans were submitted some years ago, but only recently were they resurrected and work started last year to transform them into four one bedroom and six two-bedroom flats.
Shops are close at hand, it is near bus and rail links and a short drive to the countryside. Should there be more housing in town centres or should this space be reserved for shopping? Leave your comments below.
