Firefighters were called to a number of incidents in the Horsham district over the weekend.

The county council was informed before the road was closed and the scene was made safe.

Soon after firefighters were called to Beech Road in Roffey after strong winds damaged a chimney.

Two crews from Horsham arrived attended at around 10.20am and worked to make the scene safe.

Later that day a candle caused a small fire to break out in the bedroom of a Kirdford home, say West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.

Crews were called to Plaistow Road at around 8pm on Saturday (February 15). The fire was out upon arrival.
