Eco-fair rolls into town

HORSHAM PARK will be greener than ever today (Sunday) when the Sussex Eco-Fair rolls into town.

Bamboo underwear and sheep's poo paper will be just some of the eco-products on offer at the 110 stalls which will be set up around the park from 10.30am.

The County Times stall will be there and the first 150 visitors that purchase a copy of the paper from us will receive free eco light bulbs and Bendicks chocolates.

Experts will on hand to offer the A-Z on sustainable living, from solar panels and rainwater harvesting to insulation, and there will be demonstrations and hands-on activities for all the family.

At 2pm a 'FairTrade' fashion show will parade clothing which is both ethical and stylish.

Entertainments for younger visitors include puppet shows, storytelling, as well as junk modelling.

Gates open at 10.30am and the event will run until 5pm. Entry is free, and all are welcome, although cars are discouraged from the park.

For comprehensive coverage of all the stories making the local news, read Friday's edition of the West Sussex County Times newspaper. Website users who wish to purchase a copy of the County Times newspaper but live outside our circulation area can do so by telephoning 01403 751200 and asking for reception. The cost of the newspaper plus postage in England is 1.53 which can be paid for by credit card. Overseas rates are also available, on request.
