Driver dies in crash - add your tributes

POLICE appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Shermanbury yesterday morning (Thursday April 17).

The incident occurred at 10.11am on the A281 Brighton Road when a Ford Prefect car left the carriageway and struck a tree.

The driver, a 76 year old local man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road remained closed for three hours while police carried out their investigation.

Any witnesses to the collision are asked to contact Sergeant Andy Judson, Haywards Heath Road Policing Unit, on 0845 60 70 999 quoting Operation Oulton.
