Dog falls into Maplehurst cess pit
A dog was rescued from an empty cess pit yesterday (Monday March 4) in Maplehurst.
Firefighters were called to farmland off Nuthurst Road at around 2.40pm.
The dog had tumbled 15 feet into the cess pit.
It was brought back up unhurt using specialist animal rescue equipment and reunited with its owner.
