Hundreds of people are expected to attend a crunch meeting tonight (Wednesday April 30) which will decide where in the Horsham district thousands of homes are built in the next 20 years.

Horsham District Council’s Full Council will decide whether or not to approve the Horsham District Planning Framework Proposed Submission as its policy for planning for housing and economic growth up to 2031.

It includes proposals for 2,500 homes and a new business park north of Horsham, plans which have attracted huge controversy since their announcement last July.

If approved the plan will be published for a six-week period of representation before going to the planning inspector later this year for a series of public examination hearings.

For full coverage check our website, tomorrow, and next Thursday’s West Sussex County Times.
