Council workers strike - video report

WORKERS are on strike today as part of UNISON industrial action against local government pay.

Nineteen Horsham council workers have joined the strike.

A picket line has been set up outside the Horsham District Council offices in North Street.

Unison estimates more than half a million people across the UK are joining in to protest against a below-inflation pay offer.

A West Sussex County Council representative said they did not know how many of their workers were involved.

The strike has affected Albourne CE Primary where there will be no year four classes today and tomorrow and reception class will be closed tomorrow afternoon.
