A new record of more than £3,000 was raised for Shooting Star CHASE by the gift wrapping service offered by the local charity in Swan Walk, Horsham in December.

The charity was given a unit in Swan Walk and offered the service between 10am and 4pm every day between the middle of the month and Christmas Eve.

Customers left voluntary donations to the charity and a total of £3,362 was raised.

Gill Buchanan, centre manager at Swan Walk, said: “What better way to finish your Christmas shopping trip than to leave your parcels for wrapping giving you the chance to relax over a coffee in one of the town’s great cafes before heading home to hide them all.

“All this while supporting the amazing hospice at the same time.”

The donations have gone to hospice funds to be used to support life-limited children.
