Charming winners

Trophies were presented to the charming winners of the West Sussex County Times Child of The Year 2012 competition .

The winners were Sebastian Sadecki, 0-9 months, Joseph James Smith, 1o-18 months, Megan Mallinson, 19-36 months, and Tatenda Mateku, 37-48 months .

Tatenda’s mother, Holly Mateku, said: “We’re very proud. The trophy will go in Tatenda’s bedroom and he has already decided a place for it.”

Joanna Sadecki, mother of Sebastian, said: We’re really pleased. We decided if people voted we’d donate to the Children’s Trust and raised £25.”

Dawn Mallinson, Megan’s mother, said: “We’ve never won anything before, it’s very exciting.”

Joseph’s mother, Ami Chatfield, said: “The trophy will go in the front room for everyone to see.”
