BREAKING NEWS: Stuck crane closes Billingshurst road

A Billingshurst road has been forced to close after a crane became stuck in a ditch this afternoon (Monday January 14).

Crane operator Anthony Morew was leaving the site in Marringdean Road when the 40 tonne vehicle became wedged in a ditch, blocking the road.

He told the County Times that recovery is due to reach the scene within the next two hours.

No one was injured, but Anthony added that the crane is ‘not in the safest position’.
