Prolific Billingshurst guitarist Big Jim Sullivan, who played on hits by stars including Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey and Dusty Springfield, has died.
The 71-year-old played on 55 number one singles and more than 1,000 hits.
His credits included What’s New Pussycat by Tom Jones, Petula Clark’s Downtown, Shirley Bassey’s Goldfinger and Release Me by Engelbert Humperdinck.
He is reported to have died peacefully at home on Tuesday.
