A24 Copsale crash victim named

The pedestrian who tragically died in a collision with a car on the A24 at Copsale near Southwater on Friday night (December 21) was named as 40-year-old Skender Plaku today.

Police are still appealing for witnesses after the blue BMW 525 saloon, driven by a 50-year-old Partridge Green man who was unhurt, collided with Mr Plaku in the southbound carriageway at about 11.30pm.

Sergeant Tony Crisp, of the Sussex Road Policing Unit, said: “We are still appealing for anyone who saw Mr Plaku before or at the time of the collision to call police on 101 quoting Operation Milldale or email collisionappeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk.”

Mr Plaku lived in Mulberry Lane, Goring.
