Students from the Horsham district were among those with top A-level results at Lancing College today (Thursday August 14).
Lily Eustace, from Shipley, who has excelled at art while at Lancing, achieved two A*s and one A and will be going to Bristol to read Art History.
Meanwhile Megan Hanna from Warnham gained three A*s, while Jason Grinstead from West Grinstead achieved one A* and two As. Both will be going to Exeter to read Economics and Finance.
More than half of this year’s candidates achieved A*s or As, while almost a fifth of all A-levels were graded A*.
Dominic Oliver, head master at Lancing College, said: “As the new head master at Lancing College there could be no better welcome than these A-level results.
“Our students have excelled in academic subjects across the board and I congratulate them wholeheartedly.
“These results are the culmination of years of hard work both from the students themselves and a dedicated Lancing teaching staff whose expertise, dedication and enthusiasm brings out the best in every member of our community.
“The ethos here is to encourage a spirit of learning and self-discovery in every sphere and the grades we celebrate today are the happy culmination of a rich all-round pattern of achievement. As these young people move on to the next stage of their lives they will do so in the confidence that Lancing has given them the very best preparation for the challenges and excitements to come.”
