25 motorists charged with drink-driving over Christmas period

Twenty five motorists were charged with drink-related driving offences in Sussex over the Christmas period.

In six days between Christmas Eve and December 29, 38 people were arrested, 25 of these were charged and seven bailed.

Alison Hawkins, 47, unemployed, of Six Acres, Slinfold, was stopped following a report that a woman left her car following a collision in Tussock Close, Crawley on 29 December. She will appear before Crawley Magistrates on January 15.
