The Arun Magazine, produced by local later life charity Age UK Horsham District, is re-launching on the 1st October to celebrate its 50th anniversary and to coincide with International Older People’s Day.
Janice Leeming, CEO of Age UK Horsham District, said: “We are re-launching this magazine to mark its 50th anniversary. In response to readers’ feedback, the new-look magazine contains a lively mix of local features, special offers and information about events and services for later life across Horsham District.
“Through our local networks we will be reaching as many isolated older people as possible. 3,000 copies of the magazine will be hand delivered, by local volunteers, directly through letter boxes and to numerous outlets across the District.”
The new look magazine has a new local Editor, Liz Trundle who lives in Steyning.
Liz said: “With such a long and distinguished history in the District I am excited and honoured to be taking the helm as the new Editor of The Arun. To kick off the next half century, I have introduced new regular features alongside usual favourites such as news, information and quizzes. Inside are tips for staying well in Winter as well as Time Out, for great trips and a Winter getway offer.”
For your copy of the magazine visit your local Age UK shop or call into Age UK Horsham District’s Office in Horsham on Denne Road (behind the Drill Hall).
