LETTER: Political serfs to foreign power

Having grown up under the Battle of Britain and through WW II, I was privileged to see the British people at their very best, willing to make any sacrifice needed to maintain sovereign independence and the right to self political determination, not only for ourselves but for the nations of Europe, I was deeply saddened to learn that the people of Horsham had voted to permanently destroy that aspiration and with it the lawful and constitutional birth right of generations yet unborn, just as it was ours.

Perhaps they didn’t realise it but they also voted for the destruction of our monarchy as there can be no sovereign monarch in a nation that is no longer sovereign, there being no provision in the Treaty of Rome for a constitutional monarchy, as later confirmed in the Maastricht Treaty when all British people were made citizens of the EU including the Queen, without reference or mandate and in defiance of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights. No one can lawfully be made a citizen against their will and no one can be both monarch and citizen at the same time.

Fortunately there were people in other parts of the country to save us from remaining political serfs to a foreign power and enabling us to once again hold our heads high in the world and champion the democratic right to self political determination and Christian principles.
