It is already a town known for only its cafes and restaurants and now it is proposed we have three more and all on one sight, plus a cinema when we already have one. Has anyone counted just how many eating places and takeaways there are?

East Street is already known as Eats Street. The town centre should be shops at reasonable rents to attract more and better suppliers, not food.
