This will be held at PGL Osmington Bay, Weymouth, Dorset, on Saturday and Sunday 8-9 October 2016.

This adrenaline-fuelled weekend is open to young people, aged 11 – 18, who have had meningitis or meningococcal disease, and gives them the opportunity to try challenging activities while getting to know others affected by the illness.

These weekends are always very popular and spaces fill up fast. They’re a great opportunity for young people who may have been held back by this debilitating disease and its after-effects to get out and about, meet new people and get stuck in to some new, exciting challenges.

The weekend, generously funded by Children in Need, is offered free to young people affected by meningitis. Refreshments, meals and Saturday night accommodation are provided.

All activities will be led by qualified PGL staff and may include high ropes challenges, canoeing, trapeze and zip wires.

Anyone who would like to register should visit www.meningitisnow.org/believeandachieve, call 01453 768000 or email [email protected]

Meningitis Now, in its 30th anniversary year this year, is working towards a future where no one in the UK loses their life to meningitis and everyone affected gets the support they need.

It does this by funding research into vaccines and prevention, raising awareness so people know what to look for and what action to take if they suspect meningitis and rebuilding futures by providing dedicated support to people living with the impact of the disease.
