Kensington Palace has sent a note of thanks to Horsham District Council and the people of the Horsham district for sending a book of congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge following the birth of their son George.

The council arranged for a commemorative book to be displayed for the people of the Horsham district to sign at Swan Walk Shopping Centre in Horsham and Storrington Help Point in Storrington during July and August this year.

With around 1,000 messages written inside, the council then sent the book to Kensington Palace to the new parents.

A letter was sent to the council from Kensington Palace thanking the residents of the district for the book.

For more information about the book of congratulations, contact Horsham District Council by emailing press@horsham.gov.uk or call 01403 215571.
