THE team at Pets at Home in Horsham is gearing up for its first national fundraising week of the year.
It is aiming to raise more money than ever before for Support Adoption For Pets, the charity it established and supports.
The fundraising drive, from Friday May 6 to Friday May 13, will see store teams busy running pet adoption workshops along with fun activities to raise awareness and funds for a variety of deserving animal charities.
Area manager Caroline Simmons said: “We really look forward to these fundraising weeks as they give us the chance to raise awareness of pet adoption and raise money for Support Adoption For Pets at the same time. “We’ll be holding a number of activities for customers and there are some great prizes to be won, as well as our workshops where people can meet the pets looking for a second chance of happiness in a loving home.”
The workshops have been designed to increase awareness of pet adoption and knowledge of how to care for pets looking for a new home.
Raffle tickets will be on sale for £1 at all stores giving customers the chance to win free pet food for a year, a six month magazine subscription to ‘Your Dog’ or ‘Your Cat’ magazines, Pets at Home gift vouchers and a Biorb Life 30 litre lifestyle fish tank.
Caroline said: “Customers can give as little or as much as they can spare to help with our fundraising drive and support local charities who are working so hard to find loving new homes for pets within the community.”
