HORSHAM jewellers Dominic and Melanie Wakefield were invited to attend a star-studded event where they caught a glimpse of some of the UK’s biggest stars.

The awards are an annual event celebrating women in the public eye, with the exception of one male award. Run in conjunction with women’s monthly magazine Glamour, readers were able to vote in various categories as to who they think should win, including film maker of the year, band of the year and woman of the year. Previous winners have included Cheryl Cole, Yoko Ono, Lily Allen and Samantha Cameron.
Dominic, of Wakefields Jewellers in West Street, told the County Times: “It was a special experience. My sister and I had one of the best nights of out lives.”
Pandora Jewellery sponsored the event and as one of their stockists and owners of an outlet in Brighton the Wakefields were invited to the glamorous event. “It was very, very good. Pandora did us proud” said Melanie, “It was amazing being surrounded by so many celebrities.”
The pair were in good company and on tables near theirs was Peter Jones from Dragon’s Den, Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster, Dizzee Rascal and members of the band Kings of Leon. Other attendees on the night were Victoria Beckham, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley who stars in the new Transformers film and Stevie Nicks.
