On a warm and dry evening on Saturday October 25, 5,000 Horsham families were entertained royally at Horsham Sports Club with a knock-out fireworks display by Aurora Fireworks.
As promised the encore finale easily surpassed last year’s excellent show.
The FunFair was a big hit with families with younger children and the wide variety of food on offer kept hunger at bay amongst the crowd whilst the Hepworths Beer Tent poured refreshments at the maximum rate with the bar staff manfully trying to keep up with the demand for Andy Hepworth’s craft beers and lagers.
Once again the evening was generously supported by The District Post, Vines BMW of Gatwick, Barclays Bank, Berkeley Homes, Vision Express, Strutt&Parker and Lifestyle Ford.
“We had a very enjoyable evening and were delighted to see so many local families come down to support Horsham Sports Club and have such a fantastic time,” Michael Manktelow, Horsham Sports Club’s Firework Manager said.
“The weather certainly played its part in generating a sell-out crowd. The Club would like to thank the people of Horsham for coming to this increasingly popular event.
“We try very hard at the club to provide great sporting facilities and put on entertainment for the benefit of the wider Horsham Community and remind everyone what a superb amenity Horsham Sports Club is for the town - remarkably at no cost to the tax-payer.
“Thanks must also go to our own indefatigable volunteers without whom Saturday evening simply would not have happened. We look forward to welcoming shoppers to our Christmas Shopping evening on Thursday December 4th. More details at www.horshamsportsclub.com
“We have already started planning next year’s event and would welcome enquiries from Horsham businesses who would like to be associated with the successful sell-out Horsham Fireworks Night.”
