BIN COLLECTIONS in the Horsham District will continue throughout Christmas but on a revised schedule, with additional recycling collections.
Bin tags are being attached to the handles of household refuse bins in the two weeks before Christmas, with information to remind residents which days to put their bins out and how to dispose of additional items.
Households on the Acorn Plus scheme will see the following alterations.
Brown topped bin collections for green garden waste will be suspended between December 29 and January 8, to be replaced with additional collections of blue topped bins for recycling.
Between Tuesday December 21 to Friday December 24 refuse and recycling waste will be collected on its normal day. However, on Christmas Eve collections will start at 5am instead of 6am, to help ensure completion of work across the District.
There will be no collections on Tuesday December 28.
Between Tuesday December 28 and Friday December 31, refuse and recycling collections will be collected a day later than usual with additional blue topped bin collections replacing any brown topped bin collections normally due this week.
For those that normally have a collection on Fridays, this collection will take place on Tuesday January 4 (and again on Saturday January 8.
