Horsham are building from the back having signed four of last year title winning defenders.
Centre-backs Ash Jones and Charlie Farmer have committed to the club for their return to the Ryman League, along with full-backs Mark Knee and Alex Duncan.
Hornets manager Dominic Di Paola is delighted to get the experience back four, who conceded just 22 goals on their way to winning the Souther Combination League title last season, on board.
Di Paola said: “All staying are the back four from last year. We are pleased they have committed.
“As I have been saying, we are just trying to find out who is staying and who is going and work from there.
“It’s really good those four are up for giving it a go and it gives us a good base.”
Three of the four have Ryman League experience, while Duncan has been hoping to step up and test himself for the past few years.
Di Paola added: “Charlie Farmer has made it to the play-offs with Worthing and Mark Knee and Ash Jones have both won it as well as the Sussex Senior Cup.
“It gives us a bit of know how. Alex has been desperate to give it a go before he is too old and would have done it in the last couple of years if we had a chance at East Preston.
“What I like about him is it’s not to do with the money for him, it’s all about the football.”
