Property owners in Crawley who put their homes up for sale are likely to get the full asking price.

Over the past six months estate agents in the town have achieved an average of between 98% and 102% of the initial asking price - according to data from EstateAgent4Me.co.uk

Paula Higgins CEO of HomeOwners Alliance said: “This data shows that the top performing agents in Crawley are accurately pricing homes – they aren’t over inflating the price in order to win the business, or under valuing to get a quick sale.”

Last week, Crawley was named as one of the top towns in the country for first-time home buyers.

Estate agents Leaders say that Crawley ranks alongside Wigan, Southampton, Stoke and Milton Keynes as first-time buyer hotspots.

Crawley’s success is being put down to the fact that house prices in the town are lower than in neighbouring Horsham or East Grinstead with good travel links to London.

Leaders say the average price of a flat in Crawley is £196,000 and the cost of an average terraced house is £268,000.
