The High Sheriff of West Sussex Jonathan Lucas and his wife Caroline hosted a drinks party at Warnham Park for local charity Friends of Sussex Hospices (FSH).

FSH is run entirely by volunteers and raises funds for the 12 hospice care providers that serve the adults and children of Sussex.

Since FSH started 19 years ago it has distributed £1.3 million to the hospices it supports.

Chair of FSH, Kathy Gore, said: “Whilst we’re seeking more volunteers to help us with our fundraising in West Sussex, we do not wish to dilute the efforts of the individual hospices - we always advocate that people support their local hospice in the first instance.”

To become a volunteer, make a donation or find out more about Friends of Sussex Hospices go to www.friendsofsussexhospices.org.uk or call Kathy Gore on 01825 890494.
