It may be difficult to believe with grey skies overhead in the Horsham district this morning (Friday July 12) but a ‘heat alert’ has been issued.
The Met Office says there is a 60 per cent probability of heatwave conditions between noon today and 8pm on Sunday in West Sussex.
The forecast for the Horsham district is for temperatures to rise this afternoon to around 22degC.
However, this could get up to just below 30degC by Saturday afternoon.
Some forecasts, however, are suggesting a possible thunderstorm.
Monday is looking very pleasant with plenty of sunshine.
