A GARDENER from Henfield has donated more than £200 to Henfield Area Response Team.
Tom Griffiths, owner of Gardenertom.com handed over the cheque to Dick Nye, chairman of HART earlier this month.
The money was raised from the sale of bags of grit and salt during the winter months.
“I am delighted to help HART,” said Tom. “This is such a worthwhile charity that saves lives in the area and is an essential part of the community.”
Tom will also be donating money from grit and salt sold this winter.
Dick Nye said: “Tom has done a marvellous job and we are grateful for all the fundraising that people carry out for us.”
HART has a team of trained responders and heart defibrillators that are deployed when the ambulance service calls them in response to 999 calls. They are funded entirely by public donations.
