GIRLS at Farlington School put on their top hats to support their marketing director who is running the London marathon for the brain injury charity, Headway Surrey.

Sara Greer, 47, will be running the marathon for the Guildford based charity on Sunday April 22, making it the fourth marathon she has run.

Sara must raise at least £1,500 to run for Headway Surrey and she has been very grateful for the support from the girls who each donated at least £2 to join in with the fancy dress.

She said: “I can’t think of a better reason to run the 2012 London marathon. Head injuries are no respecter of age, health or fitness levels, if you have a head injury you need help. Headway Surrey provides that vital help to local people.”

The girls put a lot of time and effort into making their hats stand out and the vast array of whacky hats on display included sombreros, flat caps, bowlers, cowboy hats, ski-helmets and shower caps.
