Horsham’s Carfax will host the increasingly popular Children In Need Halloween Party on Thursday October 30 from 10am to 4pm providing a variety of fantastic free and paid for entertainment for younger children brought together by Horsham District Council, the Rotary Club of Horsham and local business sponsors.

Highlights planned include a children’s Halloween activity zone sponsored by Gascoigne-Pees, DoStuff Bus pumpkin carving workshops sponsored by Santander, bandstand storytelling with Horsham Library and Daisy White’s Booktique, street entertainments, a pumpkin carving competition with prizes provided by The Capitol, Toy Barnhaus, Sainsbury’s, Subway and ShakeAway, a Halloween themed Thursday market, plus the Rotary Club of Horsham organised ‘Trick or Treat’ trails around the town and a Halloween fancy dress competition.

Horsham’s Non-Stop Party Shop will be dressing the bandstand in ‘Spooky Style’ with items available in-store. They are also sponsoring the fancy dress competition and you can pick up your fancy dress competition entry form now from Non-Stop Party Shop in the Carfax/Middle Street or join in outside Wilkinsons on the day.

More town businesses will be involved in the entertainments on the day including Ceramic Shack.

Pudsey Bear (the BBC’s Children in Need mascot) will also be visiting Horsham town centre with Horsham Rotary and will be seen visiting many of the sponsoring businesses.

Naturally, Pudsey is coming to the town to raise the profile of his Children in Need charity and we are delighted to hear that Santander bank have offered to match any money that the Rotary Club collects up to a total of £5,000 on behalf of Children in Need to boost the overall Horsham total.

The Rotary Horsham Trick or Treat Trail will be in full swing over every day of the half-term holiday with forms available to download online from www.horshamrotary.org.uk and all participating businesses.

Although fancy dress is not compulsory, it will be fun to see just how many original ways visitors to the town can find to theme their dress to fit in with the event on the day.

The provisional programme below will give some idea of what is planned throughout the day.
