Kirdford Parish Church is holding a Gift Day tomorrow (Saturday June 23) as it launches its fundraising appeal to install kitchen and toilet facilities and new inner glass doors in the village church.

From 10am to 4pm in and around the church there will be stalls selling plants, books and homemade cakes.

Church tours will be on offer, plus the opportunity to climb the church tower and enjoy the views over the village and surrounding countryside.

There will be a village history display and floral decorations in the church and teas and coffees will be available all day.

At 7pm in the church there will be an organ and keyboard recital by Matthew Cooke, organist and choir master of St Mary’s Church, Petworth, accompanied by soloist Lucienne Suter. Wine and canapes will be served.

Entry to all events is free, collection boxes will be available and donations will be welcomed for the fundraising appeal.
