Horsham secured a historic league and cup double by retaining the Bob Rogers Sussex Cup against division-higher Crowborough on Saturday.

The Green and Whites accomplished the most successful season in their existence by clinching the trophy in yet another rampant display.

The London 3 South East champions continued their record-breaking season is style with a 44-5 victory at East Grinstead.

Head coach Nick Stocker said: “I am delighted. We all said to the guys as coaches, that they had done what we asked them to do this season and got promoted.

“We looked at this as another game and if we won great, it would be the icing on the cake.

“I am very proud and I did not know it at the time, but it is in fact one of the most successful seasons in the club’s history.”
