Firefighters were called to a woodland near a village park this evening (Wednesday June 8).
Crews attended the small fire in Mill Road, West Chiltington at around 7pm.
A spokesman for the fire service said a small bonfire was extinguished in the wooded area.
Crews used a ‘back pack’ filled with water to put out the flames, the spokesman added.
