Fire destroys car in Partridge Green

A car was destroyed after catching fire on the driveway of a house in Partridge Green yesterday (Sunday September 20).

Fire crews were called to the house in Staples Hill at about 2.20pm.

The blaze caused heat damage to the exterior of the house, while plastic guttering and garage door paintwork were also damaged by radiated heat.

Firefighters extinguished the flames using two breathing apparatus and two hose reels. The fire was ruled accidental.
