Fire at Crawley flat

Firefighters were called to a blaze in a first floor flat in Bewbush, Crawley, last night.

Two crews from Crawley attended the fire in Milne Close at 3am, a spokesperson for the fire service confirmed.

Four breathing apparatus and two hose reels and a covering jet and a hydrant were used to tackle the fire, with crews standing down at 4.45am, according to the West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and there are no reported injuries, the spokesperson added.
