This season at Farlington we have seen a massive progression in hockey and netball across all the year groups.
Increased fitness, skill levels and tactical understanding have all come together to improve teamwork and communication.
In netball the U12’s reached the semi-finals of the Sussex Knockout Cup and were runners-up in the West Sussex Girls PE Association Tournament. The Under 14’s reached the 3rd round of the Sussex Knockout Cup and narrowly missed out through goal difference to reach the semi-finals of the SISNA Tournament.
In hockey the U12’s were runners-up at the Christ’s Hospital 7-a-side Tournament. The U13’s came 3rd at the Windlesham Tournament and the Under 15’s reached the semi-finals of the Sussex Knockout Cup and lost to top hockey school Eastbourne College 3-1. Well done to Year 4 who were runners-up at the Burgess Hill 6-a-side tournament. The girls also benefited from a visit by Olympic medallist, Chloe Rogers, who ran a number of hockey workshops in March.
The girls have put in a terrific effort this season and their work has been well rewarded.
