Residents in Horsham can discuss the steps the county council will take to manage flood risk in future this week.
A public drop-in events has been organised by West Sussex County Council to promote the new Flood Risk Management Strategy for the county.
A public consultation is underway to gather residents’ opinions on the strategy, and the drop-in event is a chance for people to speak with a flooding expert before they comment.
The drop-in session takes place on the following date:
Thursday, August 1, 12pm-7pm, Horsham Library, Lower Tanbridge Way, Horsham, RH12 1PJ;
Residents have until Monday, September 9 to comment on the flood strategy – the first of its kind since the County Council became the lead flood authority for West Sussex.
It will help the County Council achieve its goal of making communities in West Sussex better prepared and more resilient to extreme weather.
If you would like to comment, email: firstname.lastname@example.org or write to Mr J.P. Carter, West Sussex County Council, Drayton Depot, Drayton, Oving, Chichester, West Sussex, PO20 2AJ.
