Horsham YMCA said a respectful goodbye to Mick Browning in an emotional day at Gorings Mead on Saturday.
The club marked the death of their chairman last Monday by flying the flag at half mast and holding a minute’s silence before their home match with AFC Uckfield Town.
Both sides donned black armbands and YM went on to win the match 5-3 with manager Peter Buckland saying: “I really wanted to win for obvious reasons.
“Football doesn’t actually pale into insignificance today, because Mick was all about football. It’s nice to get a win.”
