THE public is being invited to quiz prospective parliamentary candidates for Arundel and the South Downs next week.

The event, set to be staged at St Nicholas Church, in London Road, Arundel, on Wednesday (April 15), will feature those running for the constituency seat in the General Election.

Organised by the Arundel Churches Liaison Committee, the action will take place between 7pm and 9pm.

Oliver Hawkins, an Arundel resident for more than 40 years, will be the independent chairman for the evening.

It will be the first election hustings to be held in the constituency to which parliamentary candidates from all the political parties have been invited.

Questions for the candidates should be sent to Mr Oliver in advance by emailing oliveranddiana@gmail.com.

All questions must be received by Monday, by 3pm.

Those submitting a question will be invited to present it directly to the candidates. For more details, contact Rev Steve Lomas, by calling 01903 695661, 07711 889388 or emailing lomas904@btinternet.com
