MORE than £6,000 was raised at the Billingshurst Primary School Fate on Saturday June 11.

Children had a chance to enjoy go-karting, a Cinderella bouncy castle and many more games and activities with a fairy tale twist.

As part of the story book character theme, both Woody and Hello Kitty made an appearance ‘spilling over the pupils’ excitement’.

A total of £6,401 was generously donated by the fate visitors, which will all go towards school development.

Helen Williamson, Headteacher of Billingshurst Primary School, said: “The Community Association have done a wonderful job to raise such a fantastic amount of money at our first official summer fete as an amalgamated school.

“During these difficult economical times for everyone, it is wonderful to see so many parents and carers supporting the school.”
