William Penn school, Brooks Green Road, was given the award by Sarah Roche from company Babcock, the UK’s leading engineering support services company.Stephen Kear, headteacher, said: “We have been working towards this award as a whole school and are now recognised for the commitment that we have to developing skills and attitudes that equip our children for the ever changing demands of working life.

“Our assessors were very complimentary about the way that these skills are embedded into everyday good practice at the school.

“We are only the second primary school in Sussex to achieve this award.”
