RESIDENTS are being invited to attend a meeting on Wednesday to find out more about a planning application to build 70 homes on the outskirts of Horsham.
West Sussex County Council has submitted a planning application to Horsham District Council to build 70 dwelling on “land adjacent to Athelston Way” and on Wednesday Forest Neighbourhood Council is giving people the opportunity to ask questions and meet the people who will vote on the decision.
The land, although close to Chesworth Farm, lies out of the Farm’s boundary and the county council now has plans to sell it off for development.
District councillors for the Forest and Horsham Park wards, Gordon Brown (Con, Forest), Clive Burgess, David Holmes and Kyle Wickens (all LDem, Horsham Park) have been invited to the meeting to hear residents’ concerns and to answer questions they might have.
The meeting is being held at 7.30pm at Brighton Road Baptist Church. People have until March 15 to submit their comments to the district council.
