Barns Green couple Alan and Diana Leverett would like to congratulate their daughter Vivien on her marriage to Richard Worley.

The couple were married at St Nicholas Church, Itchingfield, on Saturday May 24 followed by a reception at Mannings Heath Hotel.

Bridesmaids were the bride’s twin sister Susan Leverett, the groom’s nieces Bella and Jemima Worley-Smith and friends Hannah Bishop and Terese Phillips.

Richard’s best man was Simon Cook and Vivien’s nephew, Luke Hill, was an usher.

The day started rainy as the horse-drawn carriage took the bride and bridesmaids to the church from the family home in Barns Green, but the sun was out for when they left the church for the reception.

The groom had kept the honeymoon a secret and that was not the only surprise he gave his wife-to-be.

Vivien, who went to Itchingfield Primary School and The Weald in Billingshurst, said: “He sent me flowers to my parent’s on the morning we were married say he couldn’t wait to marry me.

“We stayed at a Gatwick hotel and he showed me the tickets when we got to the airport in the morning.”

The couple, who now live in Chertsey, enjoyed a week in Rhodes staying in a private apartment with their own pool.
