VIDEO UPDATE: Man in hospital with head injury after Horsham fight

A man has suffered a head injury after a fight in Horsham this afternoon (Monday January 27).

Emergency services including a Sussex Air Ambulance ground unit were called to East Street just before 2pm.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) said a man in his 20s was slipping in and out of consciousness as paramedics tended to him for more than an hour on the scene.

He was taken to St George’s Hospital in London.

Police have launched a witness appeal

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “We were called shortly before 2pm to reports of three men fighting in East Street in Horsham.

“When officers arrived they arrested one man on suspicion of a public order offence. A second man was taken to East Surrey Hospital in Redhill for treatment for a minor head injury.

“The third man has not yet been identified.

“Anyone with information should call 101 quoting serial 782 of 27/1, email [email protected] or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
